Library Express
Interlibrary Loan and Document
Delivery are now covered under the new online Library Express service
initiated this past July. Logon to Library Express by following
the "Article
and Book Delivery" link from the UW Library's web site
sidebar (http://www.library.wisc.edu/)
or enter through the Library Services section of MyUW.
At the Library Express site you will see options for requesting
materials from local libraries or other institutions.
To request a book, connect
to WorldCat through the link provided, locate the book information,
and select "Borrow through Library Express." Enter your
ID number and last name in the popup window and click the submit
button.
To request a journal article,
choose the "Request an article or other copy" link. Use
the form to enter the bibliographic information and click the submit
button.
To request a score or recording,
use WorldCat to verify publication details; then use the "Request
a book or other loan" link in Library Express to open a form
where the required information can be supplied by copying and pasting
from WorldCat.
You can monitor the status
of any request from the Library Express main menu by selecting "View
outstanding requests." When materials become available for
your use, you will receive email notification.
Library Express also offers
a direct link to "UW System Borrowing," the place to search
library catalogs at other UW libraries. The interface is similar
to MadCat and permits you to borrow materials by choosing the "Place
Requests" button at the top of the screen.
Please contact Music Library staff if you
would like assistance in placing any Library Express request.
